The series follows Jeong Da-eun (Park Bo-young), a nurse who is passionate about her work and never gives up, no matter what challenges she faces. One day, she is ordered to transfer from the internal medicine department to the psychiatric ward. No matter what happens to her, or even in the new department, she feels that everything is an adventure and works hard every time.
In the psychiatric ward, Da-eun meets Lee Ha-yeon (Yeon Woo-jin), a schizophrenic patient with severe symptoms. She tries to reach out to Ha-yeon and help him get better. Da-eun finds that Ha-yeon is intelligent and gentle. He has a talent for drawing, and she starts teaching him how to draw.
In addition to Ha-yeon, Da-eun meets other psychiatric patients in the ward. They all have different life stories. Da-eun learns to understand and sympathize with them more. She begins to understand that the world of psychiatric patients is complex and mysterious.
Working in the psychiatric ward helps Da-eun grow as a nurse and as a person. She learns to forgive and understand others more. She also finds true love with Lee Jae-hyun (Jang Dong-yoon), the resident doctor in the psychiatric ward.
