Feiyu is a young woman who has just graduated from university. She dreams of becoming a writer, but she ends up working as a waitress to make ends meet. She lives with her parents and younger brother. One day, Feiyu meets Xinmei, a young woman who works as a bartender. She falls in love with Xinmei instantly, but she knows that their relationship is impossible because Xinmei is a lesbian. Feiyu tries to forget Xinmei, but she can’t. She meets Chenling, Xinmei’s best friend, who tries to help Feiyu forget Xinmei, but he can’t help her either. Eventually, Feiyu decides to confess her feelings to Xinmei. Xinmei feels the same way, but she knows that their relationship is impossible. So she rejects Feiyu.
Feiyu is heartbroken. She decides to leave Taiwan and start a new life somewhere else. She leaves a letter for Xinmei, telling her that she will come back for her someday.
Many years later, Feiyu returns to Taiwan. She meets Xinmei again. Xinmei has changed a lot. She has become a strong and confident woman. Feiyu has also changed. She has grown up and learned to love herself.
Feiyu and Xinmei rekindle their relationship. They learn to accept each other for who they are, and they are ready to start a new life together.
